Zen and the Art Of Appreciating Introspection

EXPERIENCE has taught us that self-realization is born of, and matures in, a distinctive kind of awareness. Although, it hatches in the joys of the Drama and Trauma in our lives. Understanding that Drama is what happens to us and Trauma occurs when we don’t have either the Tools and/or the Space to process our feelings about what happened.
Doctor Richard Morris Bucke referred to this place of self realization as Cosmic Consciousness[1].
Bucke and Walt Witman were good friends and shared these thoughts. This distinctive kind of awareness seems to be more of the subjective rather than objective.  We are in it more than we’re noticing it.
It is an awareness that has been described in many different ways by many different people. The mystics, for example, have spoken of it as the awareness of the divinity and the perfection.

Miraculous[2]
Refers Not Only To The Extraordinary,
But Also To The Commonplace.
For Absolutely Anything Can Evoke This Special Awareness.

If We Pay Close Enough Attention To It.
